Dallas LASIK Surgeon Hosts Continuing Education for Area Optometrists

Dr. Gary Tylock lectures on advancements in LASIK and patient co-management

Dallas, TX – LASIK surgeon Dr. Gary R. Tylock hosted a group of 30 local optometrists at his offices on March 15 for continuing education on the topics of advancements in LASIK and patient co-management.

Optometrists are required by the state of Texas to receive 16 hours of continuing education each year, and Dr. Tylock has traditionally held courses for larger groups once a year. Recently, his office decided to host quarterly meetings for smaller groups to provide a more intimate educational setting.

“We are proud to host such an excellent group of optometrists,” said Dr. Tylock. “It is encouraging to see so many talented people dedicated to the visual health of their patients.”

During the two-hour session, Dr. Tylock shared information on how to examine a patient prior to LASIK and how to manage their post-operative care. The next continuing education is scheduled for early June.
